From the horse drawn carriage to the violinist, everything was thought out carefully. The color scheme for this wedding was blush, black, and gold.
Exquisite Events Wedding & Planning was booked for wedding day coordination. With a guest count of 200 guest, a wedding party of 20+, and a vendor team of 10+ vendors, it was very important to have coordinator to communicate and manage everyone on the day of the wedding so the couple and their families could enjoy the day. We are very grateful and thankful that the couple chose us to manage and execute their special day.
This gorgeous sunset wedding ceremony and reception was held at The Firehouse located downtown Goldsboro, North Carolina. This venue comes with a courtyard, outside patio, farmhouse tables, bridal suite, and more.

Bridal Show Tips
Research shows in the area you are interested in getting married
Register in advance if you can
Review the list of vendors that will be participating in show. If you have been considering someone be sure to visit their booth while your there
GROOMS, you should attend as well
Have printed address labels with your information on them (name, address, phone, and email address). This makes it easier to register for any giveaways
Get information from all the vendors that are in attendance (you never know when you may need contact someone after the show)
If you connect with a vendor be sure to reach out to them after the show. It doesn’t cost anything to have a conversation
Don’t get overwhelmed (this applies to large shows that have over 100+ vendors)

From the shotgun shell boutonniere for Allen to the party gown and cowgirl boots for Kelsi the smile on their faces showed just how much they were ready to become husband and wife. On the day, everyone arrived ready and excited about the wedding. As would any bride on her day, Kelsi was full of nerves when we arrived but once we chatted she was able to leave all the nerves behind and enjoy her wedding. Exquisite Events was happy to serve this couple by helping them plan, setting up the venue, and providing the logistics for their room flip during cocktail hour. Poppy and Co is a company that specialize in bridesmaids gift, loungewear, and jewelry. Their most popular gift option is the Poppy Package. The poppy package arrives wrapped and of earrings, card, and candle. The pajamas are great to wear while getting ready and the earrings are perfect for wearing to the wedding.
The company got started when the owner, Julia Massey, was planning her wedding and had the hardest time finding unique bridesmaids gifts that would be used after her wedding. After she did some research, she took the leap and created Poppy and Co. When asked what does she love love about weddings? She replied by saying, “My favorite part of weddings is the happiness in the air. Everyone is smiling and cheerful. It’s a special time for couples to celebrate with all their best friends and family.”

How to Select The Perfect Wedding Venue

There are quite a few things to consider when you are searching for the perfect venue for your wedding day. This space is where you will spend your entire day and just like your dress you want to love the space your going to be in. We’ve come up with a few tips to help you on your journey of finding the perfect wedding venue for your special day.
Ensure your venue will accommodate your guest count. When it comes to your reception space you want to make sure that your guest have room and aren’t cramped. Consider the amount of space left for guest tables after you have accounted for the dance floor, dj, and catering food stations.
Make sure it fits the style or theme of your wedding. If you are planning a glitz and glam theme wedding you may want to look into a ballroom. If you are thinking more on the vintage rustic style theme, you may consider more of a rustic venue like a barn or a venue with brick exposure, wood floors, and/or wood beams.
You want to see if the venue has an onsite venue coordinator (this is different from a wedding day coordinator). The venue coordinator is there to handle any issues regarding the venue that may arise on wedding day. For example, if the heating/air unit stops working for the facility on the day of the wedding. They can contact someone for an emergency service call to take care of the issue instead of you stressing out about contacting someone from the venue to address the problem
You also want to make sure that the venue you select is in you budget. When planning your wedding the venue space and food are going to be at least half of your budget.

Have Cooling Stations (bottled water with cute labels or water dispensers along with Fans)
Offer Sunscreen at the guest sign in table
Consider a tent-This offers shade for your guest especially if the ceremony is not in a shaded area
Consider having an evening wedding
Offer insect repellant (Skin So Soft (Avon) or OFF)
The day before prep the ceremony space (check for ant mounds, etc)
Make sure there is electric outlets for the ceremony music (dj, etc)
Provide a basket of shades or fans (add the wedding date and these can be wedding favors)
Start the ceremony on time
Have a Plan B for Rain or Severe Weather
We have met several brides who want an outdoor ceremony and we recommend these things regularly. Often times brides don’t consider their guest when choosing an outdoor ceremony and we would like all the guest to be comfortable

How to Navigate through the Drama of Creating a Guest List
Yes, No, Maybe..
“Oh no, We’re over the Guest Count!”
Do you know what the hardest task is for all couples planning a wedding? You guessed it creating the guest list. From our recent and past couples, it normally takes about 2-3 months for them to complete this task. I know, I know….2 to 3 months you say. However, between you and your fiancé’s guest list and your parents guest list (yes, your parent’s list), this is why this task takes so long to complete. So we have put together some tips so this task won’t be so daunting.
Start by compiling a list of everyone you would like to attend your wedding and I do mean everyone.
Be sure to include your entire wedding party
the couple
bridesmaids (maid and matron of honor)
groomsmen (best man)
parents
grandparents
ushers
hostesses
flower girl
ring bearer/sign holder/bell ringer
officiant
vendors (photographer, videographer, dj, planner and assistant). This vendors will be there either all day or part of the day and need a meal.
Cut, Cut, Cut…..(so who do I cut)
Missing in action family members (if you haven’t talked with them in years your wedding is not the event to reconnect, wait to do that at the family reunion)
Friends you haven’t spoken to years (we suggest if you haven’t spoken to them in a few years is okay not to invite them)
Work Friends ( you can’t invite everyone from work, we recommend inviting them to the showers that way they can celebrate this special occasion with you.
Consider making your wedding an Adult Only event
A lot of times we over analyze “the list” but honestly this is your day. You shouldn’t be worried about what someone is going to say if they don’t get an invite. We hope these tips are helpful and help you through this process.
